Our July Board Meeting was on 2011-07-11. The minutes are published here, "below the fold". The next board meeting is will be scheduled ad-hoc among the board members, but an announcement will appear here at least 10 days before the next meeting. People in attendance were, Justin, Valerie, Joey, Stephen and Ken.
The landlord has been aware of the electric outages on the wall of the large room and said he would repair the outlets. Justin is to politely remind Lee of this task weekly until they are repaired.
A membership flyer for the bulletin board needs to be made, stating that membership costs are $20
every three months, or non paying members can donate ten volunteer hours per month for which they will receive the ability to store all their hardrive imformation.
An idea was to list some of the computers in the thrift store on Craig's List. This idea needs to be looked into more.
As to date the rent has been paid through July. August has yet to be paid.
There are business cards to be picked up at Office Depot. We are currently out of cards.
There is currently a security camera is use in the building. Videos will be recorded at a future time.
Valerie's phone number has been changed and is registered on the Free Geek number on Google.
Ken said he can find a lock for the cabinet in the thrift store.
At the time of the meeting the white board needed to have dry-erase markers. They are now purchased.
Thrift Store has $10 in the till.
Marketing materials for membership are needed, Flyer, blurb in website,and U of A.
Zac is supposed to check to see if google groups are free.
Justin is to help Valerie on the Free Geek Facebook website.
Vicky has requested that the board meeting be moved to another time due to employment issues. The board said this would not be very difficult, as we can meet on a Saturday evening.
A fund raiser has been for Free Geek has been scheduled for August 16 at Rogue on Dickson St. Costs are $5 for 21 and up or $7 for 18 to 20.
Justin is to schedule a date with Essco and is to notify Steven of the date.
Valerie will contact a friend at Eureka Springs to pick up donation, and will sell video games in the Thrift Store.
