Hands on work with computer parts in a fun geeky environment is what you'll get with this volunteer opportunity while helping keep e-waste out of landfills. If you like working with computers, or just want to do something about the tides of waste produced with each computer upgrade, come here to learn hands on about how computers are recycled and how many of their parts can be put to good use.
Anyone from any background can disassemble and sort computer components into recycling categories, and those with more experience - gained at our facility or elsewhere - will check computers for working components and assemble working components into refurbished systems. No requirements other than the willingness to work with screwdrivers in an indoor, temperature controlled environment.
We reward repeat volunteers! Any volunteer that volunteers at least 24 hours gets a free refurbished computer! Location & Hours
College students and faculty can volunteer and log their time through the University of Arkansas.
