As a Free Geek of Arkansas Warehouse Assistant, you will have the chance to kick-start a career in Materials Management. You will develop an intimate knowledge of identifying, repurposing, and recycling streams for e-waste products. This position gives you an opportunity to be on the front lines of contributing to environmental sustainability in your community.

Daily Responsibilities Include

  • Accepting and logging donations from the public and area businesses

  • Sort, clean, and identify items to be tested, rebuilt, sold, and recycled

  • Ensure aisles and pathways are clear and organized

  • Test, repurpose, recycle, label, price, and sell items

  • Engage donors, customers, staff, and volunteers with a friendly and positive attitude

  • Document your efforts so others can pick up where you left off

  • Help plan and oversee educational development projects for volunteers

Minimum Qualifications include

  • Able to lift 50 lbs safely and often

  • Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic

  • Willing to work in robust climate changing semi-indoor and outdoor temperatures year-round

preferred qualifications include

  • Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment

  • Experience performing inventory handling and stocking

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools

pay range

$15 an hour based on experience. Part-time position available. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 12PM to 6PM
